Remodel Works (RW) recently upgraded our bath to a walk-in shower, and they did a very nice job: excellent overall quality, expensive but good value, reasonable time line but a few weeks over on the end date. Would have rated at 4.5, but 5 is fair given our overall satisfaction with the end result. $22K for a fairly small job, but again, the quality of workmanship is what we appreciated most in the end. Structural work done by craftsman was outstanding, never seen better and I've seen a lot. Tile work done by mason was also outstanding with the exception that he had to re-work an oversized cut three times and was not happy about it. Design work was also very good with the exception of missing incompatibility of initially quoted shower door with shower pan - this put us behind on schedule and was the only real "issue" with the project (owner made good on cost impact). Project management also very good with the exception that I had to do a bit more on the ground management than desired. Would definitely recommend; quality of work drives this high rating.

Expert Exterior Painting in Houston, TX
Houston's climate puts real pressure on exterior paint. High humidity pushes moisture into siding joints and trim. Intense UV rays fade colors on south- and west-facing walls. Afternoon storms and wind-driven rain stress caulk lines and fascia year-round. At Works Remodeling, our exterior painting service covers the full scope: pressure washing, surface repairs, caulking open joints, priming bare or problem areas, and applying finish coats suited for Houston's conditions. We work on wood siding, fiber cement, stucco, brick with painted accents, and trim. Homes in Houston's older neighborhoods often show peeling and chalking from years of moisture cycling. Newer builds with fiber cement siding need proper priming at cut ends and joints to stop water wicking. We address both. If your home sits in one of Houston's 23 historic districts, color choices may require review before work begins. We walk you through that before we start. Call Works Remodeling to schedule a free on-site estimate for your Houston exterior painting project.

Exterior Painting FAQ
Common questions about exterior painting in Houston, TX.
Yes, fading on Houston homes is a sign the coating's UV protection is breaking down and the surface is becoming vulnerable. Waiting until peeling starts usually means more prep work and a higher repair cost.
We paint siding, trim, fascia, soffits, doors, shutters, and stucco on Houston homes. Each surface gets the prep and primer it needs before any finish coat goes on.
If your Houston home sits in one of the city's 23 historic districts, a Certificate of Appropriateness may be required before you change exterior colors. HOA neighborhoods also commonly require color approval from an architectural review committee before painting starts.
Houston's high humidity traps moisture beneath the coating, which leads to bubbling and peeling. Proper surface prep and moisture-resistant primers stop this cycle before the finish coat is applied.
Signs like hairline cracks in caulk joints, chalky residue on the siding, or soft spots in trim boards mean repairs should happen before painting. Works Remodeling inspects these areas during the on-site estimate so nothing gets painted over a problem.
Yes, mildew treatment is part of our prep process for Houston homes before any coating is applied. Skipping that step causes new paint to fail faster, especially on shaded or north-facing walls.
